Från "Ford Mustangs | Mustang GT, Cobra, Saleen & More - Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine" (Det som jag fetstilat låter ju ganska trevligt :-), trots att det kanske blir lite "dyrt") "After much anticipation, Ford Motor Company revealed the 2010 Mustang to the public at the popular Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, which plays host to some of the most exclusive events in and around Tinsel town. But the hangar wasn't the focus at this gala event, it was the incredible 2010 Mustang, which proved to be the star of the show. For 2010, Ford gave the S197 platform a Hollywood makover, fashioned with all new skin, more horsepower, a refined interior and improved safety and suspension. The lines are simply amazing--you can see the retro, but it's modern, both stylistically and mechanically. Under the hood you'll find 315 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, along with a redline that has been bumped to 6,500 rpm. (The base V6 produces 210 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque.) If you're looking for more power, we speculate the Shelby, (which is slated to be introduced in January), will fill your need. However, Ford stated that it will offer a Ford Racing Performance Parts dealer-installed blower for the GT model that will retain the original powertrain warranty. Moving on, the GT suspension has an increased spring rate that is coupled with shock and anti-roll bar tuning to produce flatter handling, better control and reduced understeer. And there are many new options and features, including a factory-installed glass roof, 17 wheels and tires on the V6 and 18- and 19-inchers on the GT. Additionally, ABS, TCS and AdvanceTrac (Ford's Electronic Stability Control) is standard. Other features (some optional) include "capless" fuel fill, covered cup holders, dual-zone temperature control and SYNC (with 911 assist and vehicle health report), rear sequential tail lights, next generation navigation with 8-inch screen, rear video and much more. The interior space is refined from the previous model with a newly designed one-piece soft-touch instrument panel, new steering wheel, full 360-degree gauge bezels, soft armrests and a new console design. There is also new seating with unique sew styles and coordinating door inserts. There is a variety of color options. You'll also find a locking console lid, improved ambient lighting and some new shifter handles. Overall, we love the latest Pony car. Ford emblazoned the iconic Mustang with a modern touch, yet it maintained the classic styling that Mustang owners have come to love. From new-look grill, to the power-bulge hood, sharp lines and the sequential taillights, the 2010 Mustang is a home run. Once again, Ford got it right. Its engineers and designer listen to the Mustang community and the solution is spot on. This is a winner in our book but there's more to come. The Dearborn Assembly Plant-or D.A.P., as it is affectionately known at Ford-has been building Mustangs ever since production began in early 1964.
