November 25, 2025Nov 25 comment_188653 Revology 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 DebutsBy Brett FooteNovember 25, 2025 2:05 amBack in 2015, Tom Scarpello - the former Marketing & Sales Manager for Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) - created his own company called Revology, which proceeded to churn out some truly cool Ford Mustang restomods. Since then, Revology has created dozens of modernized pony car classics, generally based on the first-generation model, and stuffed with the newer 5.0L V8 Coyote powerplant. Now, Revology has debuted its latest model - a reimagined 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429.The Revology Ford Mustang Boss 429 utilizes an all-steel body, which is built using modern-day OEM methods such as automated spot welding, seam welded joints, and heat-cured structural adhesive, giving it a more rigid structure than the original. The very first example is finished in a Porsche hue dubbed Lava Orange, and it rolls on a set of classic 17-inch Magnum 500 wheels that are designed to look like the originals.Inside the cabin, one will find a number of premium materials and finishes adorning a vintage-looking cabin, with a leather wrapped steering wheel, seats, a custom instrument cluster housing a hidden seven-inch screen, a center console, and a Harmon-Kardon premium audio system, all of which looks quite old, but has been completely redesigned with ergonomics and comfort in mind.As for power, that comes from a supercharged 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, sending 710 horsepower to the wheels via either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. The Revology 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 rides on a modern chassis as well, fitted with a double-wishbone front suspension, an aluminum subframe, a three-link rear suspension with a torque arm and Panhard rod, plus hydraulic power rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, and tuned springs and dampers. In total, Revology plans to build 50 units of the new Boss 420 next year, though more than half have already been ordered by existing customers - who were able to snag one before the general public."The Boss 429 is one of the rarest and most desirable muscle cars ever built," Scarpello said. "The Revology Boss 429 is not a copy of that iconic model, but a redefinition of it, leveraging modern technology, engineering, and manufacturing processes to make it as reliable and fun to drive as it is to look at."
