June 19, 200321 yr comment_1416 RE: Oil Leaking around my PCV valve by rbohm 6/7/2003, IP 208.6.248.2 Provade nedan (2 liter diesel till befintlig olja) på min 302:a som hade övertryck i vevhuset och sotade stift. Bilen är helfrisk nu. Oljan som jag kört på i 15 mil är helt ofärgad fortfarande :-))))...to check for excessive blow by, pull the pvc valve out of the gromet and run the engine, if you see alot of smoke or feel alot of pressure coming out of the hole, then you have excessive blow by. for gummed up rings you can try an engine flush, marvel mystery oil, a couple quarts of atf mixed with the oil, or a couple quarts of diesel fuel mixed with the oil. run the engine at just above an idle for about 20 min and then change the oil and filter. change the oil and filter again at about 500 miles. you should see a difference. if not the you will need to tear the engine down to replace the rings.
